On 28 May 2012, His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, currently on an official visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, visited the Moscow Metochion of the Church of Antioch.

Archbishop Nifon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of the Great Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, welcomed His Beatitude on behalf of Patriarch Ignatios IV.

The Primate of the Church of Greece expressed his gratitude for the greeting, said that he prays for His Beatitude Patriarch Ignatios IV and the Church of Antioch, and wished the people for who His Beatitude cares to overcome the present difficulties in Syria in the nearest future.

His Beatitude spoke of his visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, noting that the Russian people have always been with the people of Greece in the most difficult periods of their history. We are grateful to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for wonderful hospitality.
