At the request of the Ambassador of Luxembourg, the DECR chairman told him about the current state of the Orthodox-Catholic dialogue.

The participants in the meeting exchanged their views on the situation in Ukraine and on other issues of international relations.

Warmly greeting the guest, Metropolitan Hilarion noted traditionally good relations between the Department for External Church Relations and the Hungarian diplomatic mission in Moscow and told about many years of his service as administrator of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Diocese of Budapest and Hungary.

They were joined in the working meeting, which took place at the DECR premises, by Mr. Miguel Palacio, a staff member of the DECR secretariat for far abroad countries, and by Ms Sarah Fleming, second secretary of the Embassy of Great Britain in Moscow.
