An Orthodox church consecrated in the territory of Russian embassy in Beijing
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the consecration was celebrated by Bishop Mark of Yegoryevsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate secretariat for Russian Orthodox Church institutions abroad.

DECR delegation attends a working session of the Churches in Europe section of Russian-German forum St. Petersburg Dialogue
Proposals were voiced concerning prospects for developing the work of the forum’s section on Churches in Europe and the forum as a whole. Under a separate agenda item, the session considered possible themes for St. Petersburg Dialogue to take place in 2010 in Russia.

20th annual conference of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Humanitarian University section on Trinitarian Theology Today: Science and Witness led by DECR communication director
The section considered topical themes of the Trinitarian theology today. In his presentation, Father George focused on the ways in which relations between the Persons of the Holy Trinity are reflected in the creation.

The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church chaired by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill meets in St. Petersburg
Before the session, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed the meeting, noting that it was a second Holy Synod session to be held in the historic building of the Sacred Governing Synod and that St. Petersburg assumed the duties of the Synodal capital.
