DECR chairman greets His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia with Krsna Slava

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, sent a message of greetings to the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the Day of his Krsna Slava. The letter reads:

Your Holiness:

I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the Day of your Krsna Slava.

Your Holiness’s spiritual celebration falls on the Lazarus Saturday – the radiant feast that precedes the commemoration of the Lord’s Passion and consoles the hearts of the faithful with the hope for the blessed eternity.

I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ, “the resurrection, and the life” (Jn 11:25), protect your God-loving flock from every tribulation and temptation and grant unto you peace, blessed physical strength and His all-generous help in your Patriarchal ministry in anticipation of the Holy Pascha of Christ.
