On 10 October 2017, Metropolitan Hilarion, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations DECR), met with H.E. Vladimir Remek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Russian Federation.

They were joined in the meeting, which took place at DECR premises, by Mr. Jakub Jílek, personal assistant to the Ambassador; hieromonk Alexander (Galushko), secretary of the Representation of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in Moscow; Mr. Alexander M. Brodsky warden of the Representation; and deacon Andrei Titushkin, a staff member of the DECR secretariat for far-abroad countries.

Metropolitan Hilarion warmly greeted the head of the Czech diplomatic mission and wished him God’s help and success in his work. The participants in the meeting discussed a number of topics of mutual interest.
