Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR) greeted His Beatitude, Archbishop Hieronymos of Athens and All Greece on the occasion of his Name Day. Below is the text of the massage:

Your Beatitude,

I would like to extend respectfully my cordial greetings and best wishes on the occasion of your Name Day.

Performing the lofty service of the Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church, you seek to rely in everything on God Who has called you to the service so that the body of Christ may be built up (Eph. 4:12). Seeking to emulate your heavenly patron in virtue, you edify the people of God entrusted to your care in righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness (1 Tim. 6:11).

Sharing the joy of the Plenitude of the Most Holy Church of Greece on this festive day, I prayerfully wish Your Beatitude peace, good health, all-strengthening help of God and blessed success in the Primatial work.

With respect and love in the Lord,

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk

Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations

Moscow Patriarchate
