On 26 May 2010, His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople visited the Church of the Resurrection – the representation of the Church of Jerusalem in Moscow.

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople was accompanied by Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department of External Church Relations; Bishop Tikhon of Podolsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s financial and economic administration; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; and Rev. Igor Yakimchuk DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations.

Metropolitan Athanasios of Kyrenaika, representative of the Patriarch of Alexandria to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, was also present.

The high guests were met by archimandrite Stephen (Dispirakis), representative of the Patriarch of Jerusalem to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. He greeted Patriarch Bartholomew and presented him with a folding icon.

His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew thanked archimandrite Stephen for cordial reception and warm words and made him a present of a pectoral cross.
