Archbishop Hilarion consecrates a Church of All Saints in Pattaya
Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, who is leading an official delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church at the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Orthodox in Thailand, consecrated a Church of All Saints in Patayya, on Dec. 20.
After the Great Consecration, Archbishop Hilarion celebrated the Divine Liturgy. He was assisted by Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), Russian Orthodox Church representative in Thailand, Hegumen Sofrony (Kitayev) dean of the Missionary Seminary in Belgorod, Archpriest Dionisy Pozdnyaev, rector of Sts Peter and Paul’s Church in Hong Kong, Rev. Alexy Trubach, rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Ulan-Bator, Mongolia, Hieromonk Joasaph (Tandibilang) rector of St. Vladimir’s Church in Jakarta, Indonesia, Rev. Daniel Vanna, a cleric of the Parish of St. Nicholas in Bangkok, and Protodeacon Vladimir Nazarkin, assistant to the DECR chairman.
After the service, Archbishop Hilarion addressed the congregation with an archpastoral homily.
