The third revised edition of hymns written by St. Simeon the New Theologian, entitled “Come, O True Light,” translated from the Greek by Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, came out in St. Petersburg.

St. Simeon the New Theologian, a great poet and mystic, who lived in the 10th – 11th cc., is a most profound and original thinkers of Byzantium.

The poetic translation of his selected hymns by Archbishop Hilarion if Volokolamsk gives the Russian readers an opportunity to get to know St. Simeon as a great Christian poet whose creative works are unique in world literature.
