On 19-20 October 2015, the largest conference on the situation of Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East took place in Athens. Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk delivered his presentation on the first day of the forum.
Among the numerous listeners were Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, Mr. Vygaudas Usackas, head of the EU Delegation in Moscow, and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The book was published by the Moscow Patriarchate Publishers as part of the His Holiness the Patriarch’s Homily series.
At the closing session, Metropolitan Hilarion delivered a paper on ‘The Holy Prince Vladimir – the Sun of Russia History’.
On 13 December 2014, Metropolitan Kallistos (Ware) of Diocleia was awarded Doctor Honoris Causa degree. The ceremony took place at the Main Hall of Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Post-Graduate Studies.

On 17 October 2014, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, visited Naples at the invitation of Crescenzio Cardinal Sepe, Archbishop of Naples, in order to take part in the opening of the academic year at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy.
