Head of Russian Presidential Administration congratulates Metropolitan Vladimir on behalf of the head of Russian State

After the Divine Liturgy celebrated at the refectory church of the Kiev Laura of the Caves on November 23, 2010, His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine, received in his chambers the head of the Russian Presidential Administration, Mr. S. Naryshkin.

Mr. Naryshkin extended congratulations to His Beatitude on behalf of the head of the Russian State and read out a congratulatory message from Mr. Dmitry Medvedev. He also handed to his Beatitude a Presidential Honorary Diploma.

The Primate of the Ukrainian Church warmly thanked Mr. Naryshkin for the congratulations and noted with satisfaction that in recent time the relations between the two fraternal nations have been actively developing in all spheres, the Patriarchal Press Serves has reported.

Present at the meeting were also Mr. S. Levochkin, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration, Russian Ambassador M. Zurabov, as well as Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, and Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman.
