Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, sent a letter to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania, greeting him with the 13th anniversary of enthronement. The message reads as follows:

Your Beatitude:

Please accept my heartfelt greetings with the 13th anniversary of your accession to the Patriarchal Throne of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Your Beatitude’s numerous flock grows spiritually and is comforted in the Lord, finding in your paternal exhortations “love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith” (1 Tim 1:5).

Joining all those who are lifting up their prayers for you today, I wish you peace, good health and God’s inexhaustible help in your Patriarchal labours.

With respectful love in the Lord,

/+Hilarion/
