On 22nd September 2019, a delegation of clerics and laypeople from the Church of England, led by Bishop Jonathan Goodall of Ebbsfleet, visited the Moscow Theological Academy. The delegation included Canon James Hawky, Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom; Rev. Hugh Wybre, author of the book on the Orthodox Liturgy; and a number of other clergymen and scholars of the Church of England.

The group arrived in Russia within the framework of the Summer Institute organized by Ss. Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute of Postgraduate Studies.

At the Moscow Theological Academy the delegation members were met by Archpriest Alexander Zadornov and Priest Antony Borisov. The participants in the Summer Institute visited the Academy’s library, the Church of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God and the museum.
