His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the Primate of the Orthodox Church in America on the anniversary of his elevation to the throne of Archbishops of Washington, Metropolitans of All America and Canada.

Your Beatitude,

beloved brother in the Lord and concelebrant at God’s Throne:

Please accept my greetings with the sixth anniversary of your elevation to the Metropolitan Throne of the Orthodox Church in America.

While emulating St. Tikhon’s feats and aspiring to perform your primatial ministry with diligence, responsibility and zeal of the glory of Christ, you are taking active care for the God’s land entrusted to you, looking after your flock and exhorting them ‘to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast devotion’ (Acts 11:23) and excel ‘in faith, in speech, in knowledge, and in love’ (cf. 2 Cor 8:7).

I prayerfully wish you good health, high spirits and the inexhaustible aid from the Saviour of the world in your future archpastoral labors.
