Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, send a message of greetings to His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada on his Name Day.

Your Beatitude,

Prayerfully rejoicing with you on the commemoration day of your heavenly patron, St. Tikhon the Patriarch of All Russia, I cordially greet Your Beatitude with your Name Day.

Inspired by St. Tikhon’s apostolic labors in America and striving to imitate him in faith and deeds, you carry out your ministry with zeal and humility. Giving your life (Cf. Jn 10:11) for the faithful children, you fulfil the pledge to be an honest steward of the Church of Christ in the land of America, given on the day when the True High Priest Jesus Christ called you to be a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man (Heb 8:2).

I wish to Your Beatitude God’s unceasing help in your Primatial cares for the strengthening of the Orthodox Church in America, as well as good health and abundance of spiritual blessings from our All-Generous Heavenly Father. May the All-Merciful Lord multiply and bless the years of your Primatial service.

With respectful love in the Lord,

  /+Hilarion/
