DECR chairman meets with Serbian ambassador to Russia

October 4, 2018 – Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Russia Slavenko Terzic.

Present at the meeting was also Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev, DECR secretary for the far abroad.

Warmly welcoming the guest to the synodal department, Metropolitan Hilarion noted the good relations established between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Serbian diplomatic mission in Moscow.

Mr. Terzic, in his turn, thanked the archpastor for the opportunity to meet and congratulated him on his being awarded honorary doctorate by the University of Belgrade.

During their talk, the sides discussed the relationships between the Russian and the Serbian Orthodox Churches, as well as matters of mutual concern.

In conclusion of their talk, they exchanged tokens of the meetings.
