Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church congratulates His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos on his Nameday

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia addressed the following message of greeting to His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, on the commemoration day of his heavenly patron:

Your Beatitude,

Beloved brother in the Lord and concelebrant at God’s altar:

I wholeheartedly greet You with Your Nameday.

Having been placed at the helm of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem by the providence of the Most Wise Creator You endeavour to always rely upon the Chief Shepherd Christ, Who has called You “to be a minister in the priestly service of the gospel of God” (Rom 15:16).

May the Great and Merciful Lord through the prayers of Your heavenly patron, Martyr Theophilos of Sebaste enhance the strength of Your spirit and body for many years and bestow abundant aid upon You in Your hard Patriarchal labours and sent down peace and prosperity to the Holy City of Jerusalem.
