In the evening of October 27, 2017, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, currently on a visit to Romania, attended a concert of the Church Music National Festival-Competition ‘Praise the Lord’ held in the Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest.

Attending the concert also were Patriarch Daniel, Archbishop Anastasios, Metropolitan Rastislav, members of the delegations of the Local Orthodox Churches, bishops, clerics, monastics and laypeople of the Romanian Patriarchate

The programme of the concert-competition included performance of the church choirs from different dioceses of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

After the concert His Holiness Patriarch Kirill addressed those attending the festive night and thanked Patriarch Daniel for arranging wonderful competition as well as all the participants in the concert, saying:”People who work and sing in churches should have support of the Church and society. This competition gives this kind of support.

“I would like to wish all who sang today God’s aid in their work so that they delight and inspire us. May the Lord help all who sing in churches.”
