Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, sent the following greeting to His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland with the anniversary of his enthronement:

Your Beatitude:

Please accept my cordial congratulations on the anniversary of Your enthronement.

You have been following the Lord Jesus Christ from Your youth, performing monastic deeds and zealously laboring in the vineyard of the holy Polish Orthodox Church. You have acquired the precious “gift of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness” (Gal 5:22), which for many years have served to the well-being of Your multinational flock.

As chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations I am happy to note Your Beatitude’s contribution to the development of traditionally good relations between our Churches.

On this solemn day I prayerfully wish You peace, good health and the invariable God’s help in Your primatial labours.

With reverential love in the Lord,

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk
