Patriarch Kirill’s congratulatory message to Primate of Bulgarian Church
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has congratulated the Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Patriarch Neophytos, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of his enthronement.
Your Holiness,
Beloved in the Lord Brother and Concelebrant:
I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the fourth anniversary of your ascent to the Bulgarian Patriarchal throne.
The All-Wise Lord has ordained that you perform the lofty Primatial service in the land sanctified by the works of disciples of Ss Cyril and Methodius Equal-to-the-Apostles – Ss John of Rila, Euthymius of Tarnovo and Seraphim of Bogucharovo. Concerned for the verbal flock entrusted to your care, you seek, by the example of your own life, to teach the faithful to preserve the Orthodox faith, calling them to live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God (Col. 1:10).
On this solemn day, I prayerfully wish Your Holiness peace and joy in the Lord, physical fortitude and abundant help form above in your Patriarchal ministry.
