Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, sent the following greeting to the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Greece, His Beatitude Hieronymos, on the occasion of the anniversary of his enthronement:

Your Beatitude:

Please accept my cordial greetings with the anniversary of Your enthronement.

The Almighty Lord has chosen You for this noble ministry ‘for building up the body of Christ’ (Eph 4:12). All the years of your ministry You have been edifying the people of God ‘in godliness, faith, love, endurance’ (cf. 1 Tim 6:11,) leading the ship of the Church to the calm haven of Christ with the help of your brothers bishops.

On this remarkable day I share the joy of the Church of Greece and prayerfully wish You strength from the Almighty Lord in your primatial ministry.

With love in Christ,

+Hilarion
