His Holiness Patriarch Kirill congratulates Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church on anniversary of his enthronement

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos on the anniversary of his ascension to the throne of Archbishops of Athens and All Greece. The text is given below.

Your Beatitude, beloved brother and concelebrant at God’s Throne;

I wholeheartedly greet you with the anniversary of your enthronement as Archnishop of Athens and All Greece.

By God Almighty’s Providence you were chosen at a difficult for the Greek people time to care ‘with all the energy that He powerfully inspires’ (cf. Col 1:29) for the God-saved flock entrusted to you.

I pray for Your Beatitude’s spiritual and physical strength and remain,

with invariable brotherly love in the Lord,
