DECR chairman meets with Russian ambassador to Saudi Arabia

On July 7, 2016, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations (DECR), met at the DECR with Russia’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia O. Ozerov, who is also Russia’s representative to the Organizationof Islamic Cooperation. Participating in the meeting was also I. Kashitsyn, DECR secretariat for interreligious relations.

In the course of a friendly talk, they exchanges views concerning Christian-Islamic relationships and discussed the situation in the Middle East and North Africa and the grave situation of Christians in the region. They also considered other matters of mutual concern.
