His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences over the terrorist attack in Istanbul. On June 28, two blasts hit Istanbul’s international airport.  According to the latest reports, 41 people were killed and 239 injured.

The message sent by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, says in particular, “The committed atrocity is unjustifiable. People of good will never put up with terrorism as a means of achieving any goals. It is my conviction that terrorism has no future.

“In these days of sorrow I wish to the relatives and friends of those killed and injured, as well as to all Turkish people, fortitude and spiritual strength in enduring this ordeal.”
