DECR chairman sends greetings to Primate of Orthodox Church in Amercia with anniversary of his enthronement

Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, congratulated His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada on the anniversary of his enthronement. The text of the message is given below.

Your Beatitude,

Please accept my cordial greetings with the anniversary of your enthronement.

As a continuator of the apostolic work of your heavenly patron, St Tikhon the Patriarch of All Russia, you in your ministry of Primate of the Orthodox Church in America show a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned (Tit 2:7-8).

I wholeheartedly wish you God’s bountiful mercies. May He grant to Your Beatitude peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and may He strengthen you in prayer and good works so that you may glorify Him.
