His Holiness Patriarch Kirill’s condolences over the death of people as a result of explosions in Ankara

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences to Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, over the death of civilians as a result of explosions in Ankara.

Your Excellency, dear Mr. President,

It was with pain in my heart that I learned about the explosions in the Turkish capital, as the result of which dozens of civilians had died and many people had been injured.

Please accept my profound condolences over the tragedy. I am grieving together with the relatives and friends of those who have died. I cordially wish spiritual strength and fortitude to those who have lost their dear ones and the soonest recovery to the injured.

I lift up my prayers to the Almighty that such atrocities do not happen again, so that people might not fear for their lives and their families.
