Working Group of the Organizing Committee for celebrating the 1000th anniversary of St. Vladimir’s demise holds its session at the DECR
On 23 June 2015, a session of the Working Group of the Organizing Committee for celebrating the 1000th anniversary of the demise of St. Prince Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles was held at the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR).
Taking part in the session were Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the DECR chairman and head of the Working Group; Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat; archimandrite Tikhon (Shevkunov), executive secretary of the Patriarchal Council for Culture; archimandrite Savva (Tutunov), deputy chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate;; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; archpriest Andrei Milkin, head of the Patriarchal protocol service; archpriest Alexander Abramov, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s protocol service, and deacon Alexander Volkov, head of the Patriarchal press service.
Discussed at the session were issues pertaining to the preparation of the jubilee celebrations.
