Metropolitan Hilarion meets with Croatian Ambassador to Russia

On June 23, 2015, Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations (DECR), met with Croatian Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Igor Pokaz, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Moscow.

Participating in the meeting were also Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev, DECR secretary for the far abroad, and Hierodeacon Roman (Kiselev), DECR secretariat for the far abroad.

Metropolitan Hilarion welcomed the head of the Croatian diplomatic mission, thanking him for the constructive cooperation that the Croatian Embassy has maintained in recent years with the Department for External Church Relations. He spoke about the warmth with which he always remembered his visits to Croatia and wished the ambassador success in his forthcoming work.

The Croatian ambassador, in his turn, thanked Metropolitan Hilarion for the meeting and related the work the Croatian Embassy carried out to strengthen relations between the two countries.
