Primates of the Syrian Catholic and Assyrian Churches meet in Moscow

On 8 June 2014, Mor Ignatius Joseph III, Patriarch of the Syrian Catholic Church, making a pilgrimage to Russia, and Mar Dnkha IBV, Patriarch-Catholics of the Assyrian Church of the East, paying an official visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, met at lunch in ‘Danilovskaya’ hotel.

They discussed the political situation in the Middle East, cooperation among Christians in the Middle East Council of Churches, and certain aspects of their bilateral relations.

The Patriarchs noted that their meeting took place thanks to the Russian Orthodox Church.
