DECR chairman meets with Russia’s ambassador to Vatican
On March 20, 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations, met with Russia’s ambassador to the Vatican A. Avdeyev.
‘It is our first meeting since your recent arrival in the Vatican and I would like to wish you every success in your work ahead’, Metropolitan Hilarion said in the beginning of the talk. He also told Mr. Avdeyev about his meeting with Pope Francis and his participation in the enthronement celebrations.
Metropolitan Hilarion and Ambassador Avdeyev exchange opinions concerning prospects for cooperation between Russia, the Vatican and the Russian Orthodox Church in various fields.
