Requiem service for the late-lamented Patriarch Ignatius IV of the Great Antioch and All the East was conducted after the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on 10 December 2012.

Also remembered at the requiem service, which was led by archpriest Alexander Ageikin, were Patriarch Maxim of Bulgaria (d. 6 November 2012) and Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia (d. 5 December 2008).

Attending the service were representatives of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic, parishioners of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, and representatives of public circles.

After the service, representatives of public circles spoke up for charity aid to the people of Syria undergoing severe trials and decided to ask His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the leaders of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society to support this initiative, patriarchia.ru reports.
