On February 13, 2012, Archbishop Innokenty of Vilna and Lithuania visited the Russian Orthodox Seminary in Epinay-sous-Senart. He was welcomed by its rector, Fr. Alexander Sinyakov, and faculty and students.

Archbishop Innokenty venerated the shrines at the seminary’s chapel. After a common prayer, Fr. Alexander addressed the archpastor. He noted in particular that Archbishop Innokenty was one of the founders of the Paris Orthodox Seminary and wherever he might carry out his service, he would be always welcomed to it not as a guest but a founding father.

In his response, the archpastor pointed to the positive changes which had taken place in the seminary in the last year thanks to its holy patrons and faithful benefactors. He met new seminarians and gave the assembly his archpastoral blessing.

Archbishop Innokenty inspected the repair work carried out in the seminary and signed its honorary guests’ book, the diocese of Chersonese has reported.
