On 16 May 2010, the commemoration day of St. Anthony, hegumen of the Laura of the Caves in Kiev, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Church of All Saints in Kiev, where the miraculous Kursk-Root “Sign” Icon of the Mother of God, the main holy relic of the Russian Church Outside of Russia, reposes at present.

Concelebrating with His Beatitude were Archbishop Mark of Berlin, Germany and Great Britain; acting chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Bishop Aleksandr of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky; ordained members of the Russian Church Outside of Russia, and clerics of the church, UOC press service reports.

After the divine service, Metropolitan Vladimir venerated the miraculous icon of the Mother of God and addressed the worshippers, saying: “I thank the Lord for vouchsafing us to receive the miraculous Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God. May the Heavenly Queen protect us of any evil by her prayers and grant us all things necessary for our earthly life and the life of the world to come.”
