Bishop Kirill of Pavlov Posad, chairman of the Synodal commission for cooperation with the Cossacks and abbot of the Donskoy Monastery, gave lectures on 20 April 2010 at Sts Cyril and Methodius’ Church Post-Graduate and Doctoral School. He devoted his talk to the students to the themes of pressing problems involved in diocesan and parochial governance in the Russian Orthodox Church and relations between the Church and the Cossacks.

Before the lectures Bishop Kirill was greeted by the Academic Council secretary A. Mramornov, on behalf of the School’s rector, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

The lectures were attended by students of the advanced studies program as well as post-graduate students and doctoral candidates in holy orders.
