On March 22-23, 2010, students of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Postgraduate and Doctoral School of the Russian Orthodox Church took part in the upgrading programme on “Missionary Activities of the Russian Orthodox Church” that includes lectures by Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for Mission. He speaks about theoretical and canonical foundation of the missionary activities of the Church and also about practical moments of mission.

The upgrading programme on ‘church management’ includes courses that introduce students to the work of major church institutions.

Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society relations, and V. Legoida, chairman of the Synodal Information department, lectured at the school earlier.
