Barbara Hallensleben, professor of dogmatic theology at the University of Frieburg Faculty of Theology has begun giving lectures at the Church’s Sts Cyril and Methodius Post-Graduate School.

The professor is a member of the Roman Catholic international theological commission and the Orthodox-Catholic commission for dialogue and a translator of works by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Her course of six lectures is devoted to the problems of ecclesiology in a comparative context and the place of theology in today’s world.

The lectures will be interpreted from German by Deacon Augustine Sokolovski, assistant lecturer at the chair of Catholic dogmatics of the University of Frieburg Faculty of Theology and a graduate of Moscow Theological Academy.

The lectures of the Swiss professor will be attended by professors, post-graduate students, doctoral candidates and students of the Church’s Post-graduate School’s program for advanced studies.

Professor Barbara Hallensleben will read lectures till March 18.
