On 9 February 2010, a reception in honour of the first anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia was given in Beirut.

Attending the reception given by the parish of the Russian Orthodox Church were Metropolitan Elias of Tyre and Sidon and clergymen of the Patriarchate of Antioch, representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia at the Patriarch of Antioch archimandrite Aleksandr (Yelisov), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Lebanon V. Koval, Russian diplomats, representatives of Christian public of Lebanon, rector of the Russian parish in Beirut archpriest Anatoly Yegorov, and members of the Russian-speaking community.

They warmly greeted archimandrite Aleksandr (Yelisov) with his 50th birthday and the 10th anniversary of his ministry in the Near East, press service of the representation of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia at the Patriarch of the Great Antioch and All the East reports.
