Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine meets with the new Russian Ambassador
On 26 January 2010, His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and All Ukraine met with Mikhail Zurabov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. The meeting took place at the residence of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at the Dormition Laura of the Caves in Kiev.
Ambassador Zurabov conveyed greeting to Metropolitan Vladimir from the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, official website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports.
Metropolitan Vladimir and Ambassador Zurabov discussed the relations between Russian and Ukraine, and the role of the Church in the modern civilizational processes.
Bishop Alexander of Pereyaslavl-Khmelnitsky, secretary of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, took part in the meeting.
