Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk extends condolences to the wife of Father Daniel Sysoev over his murder

Dear Matushka Yulia,

I have been deeply shocked by the murder of your husband, a well-known and loved priest in Moscow, committed with an open defiance in a church of God.

Please accept my most sincere condolences.

The fellow-priests of the late Father share with you in the sorrow that has befallen us all. May the All-Merciful Lord give strength to you, your children, relatives and friends of the late father in the trial that has fallen to your lot.

I am praying for the repose of Father Daniel’s soul in the dwellings of the righteous.
