An official delegation of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia arrived in Moscow on 17 November 2009 for the celebrations devoted to the 10th anniversary of this Church’s Moscow Representation, at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The delegation is led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands.

The delegation will also visit the Optino Hermitage, St. Sergius’s Monastery of the Holy Trinity and the Moscow Theological Academy.

On November 21, the Day of the Synaxis of Archangel Michael and other Heavenly Hosts, Patriarch Kirill and Metropolitan Christopher will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at St. Michael’s in the Moscow Kremlin.

On November 10, the 10th anniversary of the Moscow Metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Land and Slovakia, the primates of the two Churches will celebrate the festive liturgy at St. Nicholas’s Church-at-Kotelniki.
