Hieromonk Philipp underscored the most important role of Orthodoxy in maintaining and developing the relations between the Russian Serbian people. He expressed his appreciation of the fact that many young people from the Republic of Srpska are studying in the theological educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church and shared his understanding of the concerns of the Serbs living in Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting the importance of peaceful solution of political and interethnic problems with the interests of all people in the region taken into account. He said, “It is necessary to create conditions under which all people in Bosnia and Herzegovina could live in tranquility and prosperity.”
