St. Petersburg Theological Academy is marking its 200th anniversary, the 30th anniversary of its cantoral department and the 80th birthday of Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov) by an exhibition devoted to the two outstanding hierarchs of the past and present and its graduates, Metropolitan Nikodim and his disciples and follower, Patriarchate Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Displayed are Metropolitan Nikodim’s vestments, belongings, photographs and the first editions of his works. Another part of the exhibition highlights the work of Patriarch Kirill when he was rector of the Academy.

The exhibition was opened on October 9, the day of the Academy’s patron saint. The festivities were augmented by a visit of His Holiness Kirill who became the first visitor to the new exhibition.

Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations visited the exhibition after giving a lecture at St. Petersburg Academy on October 13.
