His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent the following congratulatory message to His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine on the occasion of the anniversary of his enthronement.

Beloved in the Lord Brother and Concelebrant at God’s Throne:
From my heart I congratulate you on another anniversary of your Patriarchal enthronement to the old throne of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem.
Your Primatial ministry filled with devotion at the Life-giving Sepulchre of the Lord involves great responsibility for the preservation and adornment of great shrines. You have carried out this mission with diligence and self-sacrifice.
Recalling our recent meetings and prayers in the Holy Land, I would like once again to thank you for the care accorded to me and my fellow-travellers. I wish Your Beatitude spiritual and physical strength and abundant blessings from the Lord in your further Patriarchal service.
