DECR vice-chairman Hegumen Philaret Bulekov meets with Slovenia’s Ambassador Ada Filip-Slivnik

On July 13, 2011, DECR vice-chairman Hegumen Philaret (Bulekov) met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovenia to the Russian Federation, Ms. Ada Filip-Slivnik, at the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations.

They discussed cooperation in strengthening traditional values in Europe. Among the topics dealt with was development of Russian-Slovenian relations in cultural and religious areas, especially the preparations for the annual memorial ceremony at Vrsic Pass to take place on July 31. The event will be devoted to the 95^th anniversary of the Russian chapel and the memory of soldiers who fell at that place during World War I.
