Russian Orthodox Church Representation in Japan begins raising funds for aid to victims of earthquake and tsunami
The Russian Orthodox Church Representation in Tokyo has begun to raise funds for aid to victims of the emergency situation in Japan. An appeal of its dean, Archpriest Nikola Katsuban, is placed on its website.
‘Japan has been visited by a terrible misfortune against which nobody can be secured. We all feel this terrible catastrophe keenly, seeing people suffering in the places struck by a tsunami that has left people without roof, clothes and daily bread. I believe we cannot be indifferent to their needs’, he said in the appeal.
