DECR chairman congratulates Primate of Romanian Orthodox Church on anniversary of his enthronement
In a message to His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, congratulated him on the 12th anniversary of his enthronement. The congratulatory message reads:
Your Beatitude,
I cordially congratulate you on the 12th anniversary of your Patriarchal enthronement.
The Primate of one of the largest Local Orthodox Churches, you have enjoyed high authority both in the Orthodox community and among non-Orthodox Christians as an image of the wise and considerate spiritual father of your Christ-loving multimillion flock.
In your concern for the comprehensive development of church life, you have worked to improve the missionary, youth and social service of the Romanian Orthodox Church so that her witness to Holy Orthodoxy may reach the depth of people’s hearts and may have free course, and be glorified (2 Thes. 3:1).
The personal contribution made by Your Beatitude to the development of church scholarship inspires to work the new generations of Romanian Orthodox theologians.
On this day so solemn for Your Holiness, I prayerfully wish you inexhaustible spiritual joy, physical fortitude and God’s help for many good years of peaceful and blessed Patriarchal ministry.
With respectful love in the Lord,
+ Hilarion
Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations
Moscow Patriarchate
