Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with Russia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin

On 22^nd September 2019, at the Beirut international airport, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with H.E. Mr. Alexander Zasypkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Lebanese Republic.

Among the issues raised during the meeting was the cooperation between Russia and Lebanon in religious, cultural and educational spheres, as well the development of relationships between the Patriarchate of Antioch and the Russian Orthodox Church.

Taking part in the meeting was also Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR vice-chairman.
