On March 17, 2010, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos Karekin II of All Armenians visited School No. 21 of the Russian Ministry of Defense, located near the Church of the Intercession they had visited previously.

The two church leaders were welcomed in the school yard by Director P. Soshnikov, teachers and schoolchildren.

At the school assembly hall, Patriarch Kirill addressed the audience and presented the school with some of his own books and works by other authors devoted to the patriarchal service.

The curriculum director S. Khachaturian warmly thanked Patriarch Kirill and Catholicos Karekin II on behalf of the teachers and pupils, saying that their visit was an important event in the life of the school.

The schoolchildren presented their high guests with their drawings.

In conclusion of the meeting, Patriarch Kirill blessed that small icons of the Saviour Not-Made-With-Hands be distributed to the children, the patriarchal press service has reported.
