On 7 August 2016, the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA, and Bishop Antony of Bogorodsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administration for Institutions Abroad, who is on a working visit in the USA upon the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St Nicholas Cathedral in New York City in concelebration with the clergy of the church.

The Gospel reading was followed by a homily delivered by Bishop John. After the Litany of Fervent Supplication the archpastor said a prayer for peace in Ukraine.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy Bishop Antony conveyed to the worshippers blessings from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and wished Bishop John God’s help in his archpastoral ministry. The administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA thanked Bishop Antony for the joy of prayerful communion, website of the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in the USA reports.
