DECR chairman meets with delegation of Bulgarian Orthodox Church
On 26 May 2014, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations. met with Metropolitan Yoan of Varna and Velicky Preslav; Metropolitan Naum of Rousse, General Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church: and archimandrite Dionisiy (Mishev), head of the Synodal Liturgical Department. The meeting with the members of the delegation accompanying His Holiness Patriarch Neophytos of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in his irenical visit to the Russian Orthodox Church tool place at the parish house of the Moscow Church dedicated to the ‘Joy to All the Afflicted’ icon of the Mother of God.
Metropolitan Hilarion warmly welcomed members of the delegation. The Bulgarian hierarchs told him about church life in their dioceses.
Archimandrite Philipp (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Bulgaria, took part in the meeting.
